We are providing programme management services to the finance and economic regulation team and integration across the entire Sizewell C project.
This has included:
Development of an outline programme analysis of the project development and benchmarking against relevant projects and validation of key activities duration.
Development of a project wide key milestone delivery and dependency map up to financial investment decision (FID).
Milestone and schedule of activities mapping by workstream within the finance & economic regulation team.
Inception of the Sizewell C information memorandum (IM) delivery office and content review committee. Developing and implementing governance structure and effective reporting requirements for submission to multiple project boards and committees.
In December 2020 the government announced that it will open negotiations with EDF to ensure Sizewell C is built in this parliament. The Government have also re-affirmed its view that a Regulated Asset Base (RAB) model is a credible basis for funding large-scale nuclear projects. The first, and to date, only time that the RAB has been used to support a single asset construction project was on the Thames Tideway Tunnel, a project that is a big part of Agilia’s heritage.
Our team have also been instrumental in founding and developing the Sizewell C Consortium - a collection of over 200 UK-based businesses who are committed to driving the project forward, recognising the significant contribution the project could make on the economic and social prospects of the region.
Together with our members, we have:
Leveraged support from our membership to influence key policy and political stakeholders to ensure Nuclear’s place in the Government’s Energy White Paper. This included the development of Memoranda of Understanding with the North of England, Wales and the East of England.
Taken a lead on developing proposals for encouraging new entrants and reducing the barriers to entry for new UK-based supply chain partners.
Working alongside the Civils and MEH alliances to develop a common policy environment, which will have a role in embedding positive culture and behaviours through the supply chain in areas such as equality, diversity and inclusion.
Sizewell C is crucial to the UK’s net zero ambitions and will give a substantial boost to the future of British Industry and jobs.
