Services

  • Setting up projects and programmes for success by establishing clear accountability and empowering effective decision-making, enabling key decisions to be made with confidence throughout the project or programme life cycle.

  • Working to define clear strategic outcomes and translating those outcomes into long-term delivery strategies. We advise on organisational design; the structure of the project team, the resources, working practices, behaviours and culture required to enable project delivery – and the phasing of those capabilities at key transition points in a project’s life cycle. For example, when moving from definition to delivery.

To us, this means having a deep understanding the complexity of their project’s wider delivery environment, the required capabilities and then applying best practice and lived experience from other projects to develop practical solutions to close those gaps.

  • Undertaking senior strategic reviews, comprising of a panel of industry-leading senior advisers and senior management, as well as assurance undertaken on behalf of third parties.

  • An ‘Intelligent Project Management Office’ should play a critical role in enabling the Client to control scope and manage complexity and risk. We work with the Client team to focus on the information, not just the data, to enable effective decision making. This often includes the management of other advisors in the development and management of schedules, programme set up and roll out.

  • Developing cost, risk and schedule for the project, including benchmarking and Project Control Strategies for delivery, such as set up of baseline monitoring, performance and reporting strategies. We also undertake Quantified Risk Cost and Schedule Assessment (QRA) using Monte Carlo simulation and have experience of all common risk management tools including ARM, Xactium, @Risk, Primavera and SAFRAN.

  • Developing innovative commercial models which enable investment decisions. We are leading experts in establishing investable and executable commercial models in regulated and non-regulated sectors, supporting both public and private sector clients. This includes Regulated Asset Base (RAB) model and associated the Government Support Package, Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC), and multiple variations of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).

  • Supporting our clients on regulatory and bespoke submissions, e.g. Price Control submissions.

  • Executing significant (multi-million-pound) procurement exercises to support delivery of major infrastructure projects, including setting and following the approach set out in the commercial and procurement strategies.

  • Supporting Clients with complex negotiations or disputes with supply chain partners. This includes developing the dispute and/or negotiation strategy and working alongside the Client to lead or support implementation. This includes on PPP, PFI and NEC contracts.

  • A business case sets out how a project or programe will deliver the intended outcomes and defined benefits. We work with public and private sector clients to support investment decisions through Green Book compliant 5-case business cases, at all cases and stages (Strategic, Outline and Full).

  • Stemming from the development of the commercial model, the commercial and procurement strategies set out the overall approach that ensures that procurement and other commercial activities provide the outcomes, deliver on the wider strategic objectives and ensure commercial risks and incentives are managed throughout the commercial lifecycle. We work to define the Client’s relationship and commercial alignment with its supply chain through a structured approach, market engagement, tender process design, execution plan, evaluation, and ESG or social value requirements.

  • Supporting and managing the finance raising process (i.e. not replacing financiers / banks). Activities include supporting finance market engagement, development and co-ordination of key documentation (Information Memorandum, Vendor Due Diligence etc.), as well as credit rating.

  • Our team provides strategic support and advice from a team which comprises recognised industry leaders with substantial, directly relevant cross-sector experience from across both private and public sectors.

  • Supporting Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects through the planning activities, including developing planning applications or consent submissions and related materials, e.g. site selection, section 106 development and funding statements.

  • Providing contract management services to support delivery of the project and managed against the agreed specifications and commercial terms.

  • Developing budgets and shadow bid cost models.

  • Establishing social value toolkits and VFM frameworks for procurement (i.e. balanced scorecard) to ensure and assure that Client Requirements are met to safeguard benefits realisation in line with HMG policy, best practice and regulatory frameworks and investor requirements. We add value by translating the ESG Strategy into executable procurements and embedding the requirements into supply chain contracts.
