Modern Slavery Statement, Issued in cognisance of Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015
The following areas of the Modern Slavery Act are considered to be relevant to our business.
Introduction
At Agilia, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all our business operations. We acknowledge our responsibility to combat modern slavery and human trafficking, both within our organisation and within our supply chains. This Anti-Slavery Statement reflects our dedication to eradicating these practices and outlines the steps we are taking to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Our Commitment
Zero Tolerance: Agilia has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We will not tolerate any form of forced labour, servitude, or human trafficking in any part of our operations.
Legal Compliance: We are committed to complying with all applicable anti-slavery and anti-human trafficking laws and regulations in the regions and countries in which we operate, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015 in the United Kingdom.
Our business, structure and supply chains
We are a specialist professional infrastructure consultancy providing services to clients who are developing major infrastructure projects. Our company does not operate out of subsidiaries and its current focus of activity is on the UK market. We do not consider that our direct activities or those of our supply chain have a high risk of slavery or human trafficking. However, given the nature of our support, our appreciation of these important issues in order to reflect them in the projects that we are supporting is considered great importance to us.
Relevant policies
The policies that are directly relevant to identifying modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking include:
Anti-slavery and human trafficking policy
Our ethics policy
Employees code of conduct
Environmental policies
Steps to assess and manage risks
We conduct thorough due diligence on our suppliers and business partners to assess their compliance with anti-slavery principles. This includes reviewing supplier codes of conduct, evaluating supply chain practices, and taking appropriate actions to address identified risks.
We are committed to ensuring that the projects we support, in the structuring of the procurement processes and the execution of the same, as well as the contracts that are entered into, adhere to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking issues among our employees and partners. Training and awareness will be provided regularly to ensure a clear understanding of our policy and its importance.
We continue to keep up to date with legislation to ensure that the Act and its substance continue to be complied with.
