Inspiring the next generation in infrastructure about water as an agent for change...
For the second year running our colleagues Amar Qureshi and Afzal Ginwalla were invited to give a lecture (virtually this year) to students studying for an MSc in Infrastructure Planning, Appraisal and Development at UCL.
They covered:
💧The regulatory structure of the water industry
💧The main challenges the industry faces and the innovative solutions being considered
💧The ways in which several major water sector projects are acting as agents of change whilst resolving issues such as water scarcity and pollution
💧The Regulated Asset Base (RAB) model and the relation of this to the DPC model and the potential for the use of RAB in other sectors.
Afzal took part in a seminar after the event, with spirited discussion around the privatisation of the water sector. Thank you to UCL for inviting us and we look forward to seeing what the next generation of infrastructure professionals bring to the Water industry!
