Agilia Appoints Tim Jones as Managing Director in Major Leadership Boost

Agilia Infrastructure Partners has announced two key appointments to support its ongoing expansion and impact in the UK’s infrastructure sector.  Tim Jones, a former partner at Deloitte, has been appointed as their new Managing Director; while former Levelling Up Minister, Jacob Young, joins as Director of Corporate Affairs.

Tim Jones brings significant expertise from his tenure at Deloitte, where he led high-profile projects and developed innovative financing strategies for infrastructure.  In his new role, Tim will support Agilia’s growth strategy and help oversee the company’s portfolio of water, energy, and other critical infrastructure projects, helping drive efficiency and innovation.  His appointment aligns with Agilia’s commitment to delivering sustainable, future-ready infrastructure that meets the pressing demands of communities and industry alike.

“Joining Agilia is a fantastic opportunity to work with an organisation dedicated to transforming UK infrastructure,” said Jones.  “I am excited to work with the team to help shape a resilient, effective infrastructure landscape, especially within key sectors critical to the UK’s economic growth like water, energy and transport.”

Mike Pugsley, cofounder and Joint CEO of Agilia, noted, “We are thrilled to have Tim on board.  His deep experience and strategic insights in infrastructure delivery will help us build on our strong foundation and reinforce our position as being at the very forefront of infrastructure development in the UK.”

Former Levelling Up Minister, Jacob Young has also joined Agilia as their new Director of Corporate Affairs, bringing a unique perspective from his time working alongside former Secretary of State Michael Gove, and will aim to strengthen Agilia’s communications and partnerships with both the public and private sectors.

Amar Qureshi, cofounder and Joint CEO, remarked, “Jacob’s experience in government will be crucial as we continue to build and maintain strong partnerships.  His background in policy and tackling regional inequality aligns perfectly with Agilia’s mission to deliver projects that benefit communities and drive sustainable economic growth.”

Since its establishment in 2016, Agilia has grown into one of the UK’s leading infrastructure specialists under the leadership of Amar Qureshi and Mike Pugsley.  It became on Employee-Owned Trust in 2023, fostering core business alignment across its motivated and talented team.  Now with a bolstered advisory leadership team, which also includes three recently appointed directors (Rebecca Pynt, Henry Sutcliffe, and Chris Wright), Agilia is well-positioned to further impact the UK’s infrastructure future.
